Cherri Foytlin, Gulf Coast Activist and Mother of Six arrested in front of BP Headquarters in New Orleans, August 11, 2011

Source: hillaryraimo.com

The Gulf Oil IS NOT GONE!

"The time has come" says Foytlin, "we have exhausted our options, collected the facts, tried negotiation, gone from meeting to meeting. The oil is still here. We are still here, and we will not wait! Take care of my people on the coast!"

Since last summer, when Foytlin reached out to President Obama (to no avail), she has attended countless town hall meetings, community forums, and has walked from New Orleans to Washington DC in order to be sure federal officials are aware of the unresolved economic, environmental, and health devastation caused by the BP disaster.

Foytlin is one of several dozen Gulf Coast fishermen, BP clean-up workers, residents and community organizers who gathered in front of BP Headquarters in New Orleans to mark the one year anniversary of the date when the White House falsely claimed that 75% of the oil was gone from the Gulf of Mexico. The group demanded BP and Kenneth Feinberg honor health claims and operate a transparent and fair claims process for those impacted financially. Feinberg has denied all health claims and has approved less than 40% of all claims submitted.

Riki Ott: "People Now Dropping Dead" in the Gulf

In this interview with Rose Aguilar, Riki Ott talks about the health crisis caused by the BP oil disaster in the Gulf. She says she's currently dealing with three or four autopsies and knows of people who are down to 4.7% of their lung capacity and have enlarged hearts. "These people have oil in their bodies," she said.

She believes four to five million people in the Gulf were exposed to either acute or intermediate levels of oil at dangerous levels.

Rose spoke with Riki Ott on the sixth-month anniversary of the BP oil disaster -- one of the largest environmental disasters in U.S. history.

Bill Ryan | The Alternative Media, July 18 2010

...for 90 minutes of interview by Tania, a longstanding Forum member, stepping up to the mike for the first time. And after the first very funny outtake (Enjoy  - included with her generous permission), she did an outstanding job.

As I try to put into practice, in my opinion the role of the interviewer is to step back and create the space and energy for a good interview to manifest. Tania excelled at this.

The material covers the role of the alternative media, the situation in the Gulf of Mexico, what we can do to steer this planet towards a good outcome for us all - and much more. ~Bill Ryan

Daniel Estulin | The Bilderberg Group & The Shadow Masters

Source: veritasshow.com

Synopsis
Daniel Estulin, author of The True Story of the Bilderberg Group, discussed how he was invited to speak at the European Parliament by Mario Borghezio, the most senior Member of European Parliament from Italy. The European Parliament is one of the most powerful legislatures in the world. Estulin’s talk is equivalent to addressing a joint session of Congress. In fact, never before has Bilderberg as a subject seen the light of day in front of such a highly respectable audience - elected senators of European nations. Estulin was part of a presentation titled Bilderberg Group – Towards Creation of One World Company Ltd., given by the author, as well as Borghezio, Nigel Farage (Member of European Parliament for South East England) and Gerard Batten (Member of European Parliament for London). Estulin is the world’s top authority on the Bilderberg Group. Because of the worldwide appeal of the author’s book (over 3.5 million sold in nearly 50 languages), this once incredibly powerful and highly secretive organization is now a private forum of lesser stature. Who knows what the group will now transmogrify itself into? “This is an opportunity to bring Bilderberg into the mainstream,” said Estulin. “A subject that was once considered to be in the domain of conspiracy theories is now being taken very seriously indeed.” The Bilderberg Group is an annual, invitation-only conference with over 100 of the globe’s most influential movers and shakers, including heads of state, business tycoons and others. It is closed to the public and the press. This year the conference will be held from the 3rd to the 6th of June in Sitges, Spain.

He also talked about his new book "Shadow Masters" , which examines how behind-the-scenes collaboration between government, intelligence services, and drug traffickers has lined the pockets of big business and Western banks. Among the examples cited are the cozy relationship between Victor Bout, the largest weaponry dealer in the world, and George Bush’s administration; the NGOs who are plundering Darfur with the help of big multinationals seeking to take over the oilfields around the country; the ties that the Muslim Brotherhood maintains with the White House despite their involvement with the March 11th attacks in Madrid; and the embezzlement of more than $2.8 million from the International Monetary Fund by Roman Abramovich, the biggest oligarch in Russia.

Bio
Daniel Estulin is a researcher and expert in knowledge arcana. He was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, former Soviet Union, August 29, 1966. He speaks Russian, English, and  Spanish. He has visited more than 100 countries in his lifetime. His main interest is to investigate and discover something that takes in hiding since 1000 years ago. Unearthing secrets. Investigate the secret activities of the Bilderberg Club for fifteen years. My first book on the Club, The True Story of the Bilderberg Club, published by Planeta in 2005 has become an international bestseller, present in 42 countries and translated into 24 languages and has been awarded the prize in Canada The Kingston Eye Opener for best nonfiction book abroad.

Oil Spill & Toxic Rains | David Sereda

Source: coasttocoastam.com

July 12, 2010–Ecologist, scientist, and spiritual explorer David Sereda talked about the Gulf oil disaster, and possible toxic rains that could cause serious problems. Chemicals from the oil, such as benzene and sulfur dioxide can evaporate into the atmosphere and have toxic effects when breathed or through rainfall, he said. Some 300 million gallons of oil may have leaked into the Gulf of Mexico (30 times larger than the Exxon Valdez spill), and if we don't skim off as much of that as possible, the entire East Coast could be subject to toxic rains once hurricane season reaches its peak, he added.

Further, he posited that crop damage in Georgia (related news story) and a fish die-off in North Dakota may be the result of toxins from the spill getting into the atmosphere. He suggested that people in the Gulf Coast region check their rain water to see if its clear or has oil or discoloration in it, and to possibly have it tested. If contamination has occurred, people should consider getting water purification systems for their homes, he said.

Sereda also discussed a study at the University of Irvine by Dr. Joie Jones which demonstrated that healing thoughts can save cells from toxic effects, and a revised theory of gravity, which suggests mass isn't necessary for gravity. This could lead to antigravity devices being taken more seriously, he commented.

R.C. Hoagland & J. Marvin Herndon - Methane Fears

Source: coasttocoastam.com

June 30, 2010—In the first half of the program, scientist J. Marvin Herndon discussed methane gas fears in the Gulf disaster. "Petroleum and natural gas deposits largely come about as a consequence of the earth fracturing," he said, and if there are cracks at the site of the oil leak, the initial fracture could spread, and potentially release a huge methane bubble. There've been suggestions that mass extinctions occurred in the distant past due to methane releases, he noted.

Richard C. Hoagland, who joined the conversation, said "we know there's a bulge-- the crust is literally being lifted upward in a ridge...and something is pushing it up, which is the pressurization of this extraordinary methane bubble they pierced with this deep well," which could be as deep as six miles down. If the methane bubble is released, it will cause water displacement that could create a massive tsunami, he warned. He called for the release of real time mud log data, so non-BP geologists could evaluate the situation.

Bill Clinton: We May Have to Blow Up The Oil Well

Former President Bill Clinton said during a panel discussion in South Africa that it may become necessary to blow up the Deepwater Horizon well that continues to spew oil into the Gulf of Mexico.

His comments on the leak start about 2:30 in.

"Unless we send the Navy down deep to blow up the well and cover the leak with piles and piles and piles of rock and debris, which may become necessary - you don't have to use a nuclear weapon by the way, I've seen all that stuff, just blow it up - unless we're going to do that, we are dependent on the technical expertise of these people from BP," Clinton said.

There has been some pressure for BP to simply blow up the well, with critics suggesting the company is forgoing that option out of a desire to get as much oil as possible from the rig.

"If we demolish the well using explosives, the investment's gone," former nuclear submarine officer and a visiting scholar on nuclear policy at Columbia University Christopher Brownfield said in a Fox News interview in May. "They lose hundreds of millions of dollars from the drilling of the well, plus no lawmaker in his right mind would allow BP to drill again in that same spot. So basically, it's an all-or-nothing thing with BP: They either keep the well alive, or they lose their whole investment and all the oil that they could potentially get from that well." (He penned an opinion piece in the New York Times making the argument.)

Some lawmakers have also pushed for blowing up the well.

"For the life of me, I can't understand why BP couldn't go into the ocean floor, maybe 10 feet lateral to the -- around the periphery -- drill a few holes and put a little ammonium nitrate, some dynamite, in those holes and detonate that dynamite and seal that leak. And seal it permanently," Rep. Phil Gingrey (Ga.) said earlier this month.

The Gulf of Mexico Death Throes

Source: bpoilslick.blogspot.com

I’ve avoided pictures and video of struggling wildlife, but after being on the coast all week and returning home, I am made aware just how little people outside the coast understand the complete and utter devastation that is taking place right in our own country. If they did I hope that every American would stand up and demand more from their representatives – demand that the federal government admit that the entire Gulf of Mexico is in its own death throes and demand they finally stop putting profit above our people, wildlife and environment. I know of no other way to say we are sitting idly by, as our world dies around us. And I mean “death” in the most literal sense possible.

Have we all become so complacent, so apathetic that we no longer regard nature, life… human life, with enough regard to fight for it? What more must it take to outrage this nation??

Shell Oil ex-CEO: Oil well might "NEVER STOP"; Suggests whole casing system is deteriorating

Former Shell CEO John Hofmeister, MSNBC, June 23, 2010:

1:00 Hofmeister: If you really want to stop a blowout the fastest way the most efficient way is you blow it in, you use explosives. ... Now the problem with that, that is risky... A geologist would tell you... that the fragility, the hardness of that salt dome, that sits on top of these reservoirs -- if you put lots ofinfantesimal number of cracks in that salt dome, you'd be creating a large seep, which you'd never stop, because nature finds a way to push oil and gas up through the seep.

3:00 Hofmeister: Matthew Simmons comments

3:30 MSNBC Host: It looks like we are facing an endless destruction of our, of our area here in North America -- this is going to keep going and going and going it looks like.

5:00 Hofmeister: The more oil we some coming out, the more it tells you that the whole casing system is deteriorating. The fact that more oil would be coming out rather than less oil, would suggest that the construction within the pipe is offering no resistance whatsoever, and we're just getting a gusher.

5:40 Hofmeister: Get the oil off the surface... but the problem with that is, they're still using so much dispersant that all you get is a little sheen on the ocean, but then you get these big globules rolling up from underneath that hit the beaches.
